Peak Test Data Workplace: Manage and explore your test data with a web-based user interface
Web applications - or web apps for short - are the interactive user interfaces for working with test data management systems. They offer functions for interactive exploration and visualization of test data when testing products.
The Peak Test Data Workplace is the web app of Peak Test Data Manager - specially developed for test engineers. The powerful navigation and search functions help you efficiently identify all the data you need. You can interactively explore the contents of a single Peak ODS Server as well as extend your queries and navigation to a federation of multiple Peak ODS Servers for a holistic view of test data across your organization.
Functions for exploring and sharing test and measurement data
Data exploration requires the flexibility to adapt the search and navigation experience to the data query. The Peak Test Data Workplace offers the necessary flexibility to meet these requirements.
Search and Browse
The hierarchical navigation tree can be configured to provide the desired data perspective and context. You can even save multiple navigation configurations and easily switch between them. A full-text search also offers you a Google-like search experience. In addition, you can use the advanced search to precisely specify and find the data objects you are looking for. Similar to the navigation tree, several search settings can also be saved so that you can quickly switch between different search configurations if required.
Preview and Visualization
Once you have found some data, you can use additional tools to check whether it is actually the data you need. To do this, you can have a quick view of the time series data to visualize your signals in an x/y diagram or display a preview of file attachments such as images and videos.
Data Export
In addition, you can export the data to various formats such as Microsoft Excel or ASAM ATFX to share with colleagues or partners, or provide a link to the data so that connected systems can access it for post-processing and analysis purposes via the ASAM ODS API.

Metadata management for the systematic description of test data
Maintaining units and quantities catalogs and extending the data model with new metadata requirements is key to ensuring that future data can be managed with your test data management system.
The Peak Test Data Workplace offers options for interactive editing of your data catalogs. In addition, the Peak Test Data Workplace test data modeler allows you to interactively define metadata models and metadata templates for describing and annotating different test types. This allows you to use our test data management system in a variety of application areas, such as the storage of acoustic and engine tests, exhaust measurements, crash measurements and the management of simulation parameters, driving scenarios (vehicle simulation) and bus data.
If you would like to learn more about how all relevant context and result data of a test can be systematically described and adapted and extended for future data needs, please contact us.
